Ellen has been a customer of ours for several years now. Oddly enough she lives in Burke, VA. Since Claire Burke lived in Virginia, I thought it was a nice coincidence.

Anyway, Ellen is quite a reader and loved the Claire Burke scented bookmarks so much, she emailed to ask if she could buy a few. I emailed her back and said, no, we’ll gladly send you some for free. Deb sent her an assortment and Ellen was kind enough to mail us a Thank You letter.

We love giving personal service to our customers. Many of our patrons are repeats whom we feel are kindred spirits in following the Claire Burke brand.

Talk about a perfect stocking stuffer for the upcoming Holiday season! Claire Burke has released four new mini-reed diffusers that will be arriving in our warehouse the beginning of September. These are wicked cute and beautifully gift boxed.

Claire Burke is offering 4 scents: Apple Jack & Peel, Christmas Memories, Pomegranate Plum and Oh Christmas Tree. Each mini-diffuser will hold 1.7 oz of oil, which is enough to fragrance for 30 days and is beautifully gift boxed.

At $10.00 each they make a very simple and inexpensive gift for co-workers, teachers, etc.

After all the problems last year, it is such a pleasure to announce that Claire Burke’s new management is really doing a swell job this year. We are pleased to say that all of the new Pomegranate Plum products are due into our stock the week of August 25th.

There will be a reed diffuser, shimmer candle, plug-in warmer refills, potpourri w/refresher oil, simmering oil and vapourri.

Sadly, they were not able to bring forward the entire line of Haunted Home that was previously planned last year. We will have the Witches Brew filled ceramic candle, plug-in warmer refill and Spooky Tealight Trio.

I have been asking the Factory to bring these back for about 6 years now. Lo and behold, the new management must have listened! Today I received an email advising they are going to place one order with the Factory to produce scented drawer liners in the Original scent. In other words, these will not be available year-round; this is a limited offer.

Hallelujah! How awesome is this? Because I love everything Original, naturally we are going to offer these to our customers. Hopefully there will be enough interest for the Factory to pursue these lovely traditional reminders of days past. Be sure to participate in our Poll at top right of this page.

Aromatique’s Peach Pizazz is simply wonderful! Sadly, we have come to the end of the Peach season, so it’s time for us to move this fragrance out as we make room for all the fabulous new Fall items by Aromatique.

Yesterday I asked Dawn to go in and mark down all the Aromatique Peach Pizazz by 10%. Supplies are limited, so don’t delay. It will be next year before we know if this scent will return.

One of our local customers came in the other day while I was at the store. She loves the Baekgaard Colorful Leather collection. Based upon her input, I have added a few new items by Baekgaard and Dawn has now uploaded them to our site.

We now offer Envelope Cases in violet and apple green. These are perfect for holding loose notes, pictures, etc all in a handy 4″ x 6″ magnetic snap case.

There is a classic new purse in black/white and red plaid and 2 new Zip Tote bags.

Deb has been with us for almost one year now. One of her favorite things to do is change out our wonderful old display windows. Because we are in an old building, we have fabulous old windows that really are quite stunning when Deb gets them done up each month.

For July we wanted a bright, cheerful Summer theme. Deb found some wonderful fabric and tall botanicals that look simply gorgeous. She & Dawn continue to amaze me with how lovely the inside of the store looks as well. They work together beautifully and it seems that more local customers are discovering the store.
